Please find attached a resource to promote reading: ERIC - Everyone Reading In Class (Reading resource poster and door sign). At my school I printed and laminated the sign for the door and I have the other rules image on display. I normally play music on youtube (the link for this is attached). We also light candles and lower the lights and the children thoroughly enjoy reading for 15 minutes or so in this lovely environment! Thanks for looking, The Bearded Teacher.

52 Weeks of Story Starters / Picture Prompts / Fantasy World Images For English i.e. Poetry or Art!

(0)
Hello, please find attached: 52 Weeks of Story Starters / Picture Prompts / Fantasy World Images For English i.e. Poetry or Art! The attached files consist of a full year’s worth (52 separate slides) of fantasy like images that can be used as story starters with your class. Each slide has 4 different images (so you can project all four and the children choose one to write about). This is a total of 208 (52 weeks x 4 on a page) amazing images that you have ownership of and can use however you wish for your students. For each one image they choose they could also: Write a one paragraph story starter. Write a poem using the 5 senses. Recreate the image using a specific medium in art. Write 5 associated adjectives / adverbs / nouns Tell their partner what happens next in the story. I do create bespoke computer generated art for specific tasks too so please send me a message request for this and I can help you. Please look at my shop, The Bearded Teacher.

Create your own Unique Child Superhero Comic Book Story with many Printable Colouring Sheets / Pages

(0)
Create your own Comic Book with Printable Coloring Sheets / Pages and space for text in English. Attached is a PDF featuring five child superheroes. The chlildren each have a special power and share as follows: Indra from India - Earth Power Elspeth from Scotland - Wind Power Nari from South Korea- Water Power Damian from USA - Fire Power Gathee from Africa- Space Power Elementhia (a Goddess who has the ability to control all of the powers and trains the children). The idea is that you print the pdf and children can chop it up and colour, stick and annotate / write a story about the super heroes. For guidance (and with my class) I said that the children all had a magic rune that they found which gave them a power (the runes are also in the PDF). The children in the story all share the same Birthday and were selected to hold the powers. Very fun, children loved colouring and writing about these and wanted more characters! Please check my other resources, The Bearded Teacher.
